The actor died while on a family vacation in Costa Rica. Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the actor best known as Theodore Huxtable on the groundbreaking sitcom The Cosby Show, has died at the age of 54.

The original “A Different World,” which recently began streaming on Netflix, aired from 1987 to 1993, the first scripted series in TV history to be based at a historically Black college.
While the original series centered around Hillman, it’s unclear whether the sequel will remain set there or feature a different HBCU.
