Colorado Parks and Wildlife is crediting the use of life jackets as a reason for survival, as four people were safely rescued from Rampart Reservoir on Sunday afternoon.

"Having the life jacket on kept them above the water, kept them floating long enough for rescue personnel to get on scene," the firefighter said of the rescue.
