Police are investigating a collision which happened on the A66 today, near the Brough junction, closing the road for hours this morning. Sadly, a 35-year-old man from Middlesbrough died at the scene.
Cumbria Police say they, and other agencies, are currently dealing with a two vehicle accident at Kirkby Thore on the A66. The major road is closed in both directions between Penrith and Brough.
