CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - A Chippewa County man is using his backyard to pay tribute to a sports broadcasting legend.

Prior to their home opener against the Kansas City Royals on March 31, the Brewers held a moment of silence to honor Uecker. They have not yet had a celebration of life for the legendary broadcaster.

The Milwaukee Brewers will honor the late Bob Uecker with a special Celebration of Life event on Aug. 24. Uecker, who served as the voice of the Brewers for 54 years, passed away in January.
