TAUNTON — Police are keeping their eyes peeled for what might be a serial tire slasher downtown, after they said tires on six vehicles were slashed over a two-day period.

Police have arrested a Taunton man suspected of stealing almost 200 brass vases from burial plots at a Sharon cemetery and selling them to a scrap metal dealer.
