“Oregon is facing a new era of wildfire risk, and we need 21st-century solutions,” Rep. Pam Marsh, D-Ashland said.

Oregon state Sen. Jeff Golden, D-Ashland, proposed creating a wildfire fund from $1 billion of the state's kicker tax refund. The kicker is a quirky part of Oregon tax law.
