GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay Botanical Garden unveiled a unique exhibit to encourage saving our planet’s water: Animal sculptures made of trash and debris from the Pacific Ocean.

Sri Lanka increased security around a Jewish community center in Arugam Bay after the U.S. and Israel warned of potential threats to popular tourist locations.

The Green Bay Botanical Garden says its Garden of Lights exhibit will not take place Thursday and all ticket holders have been notified.

Both the United States and Israel issued security alerts Wednesday warning of a potential attack on tourist locations in a coastal area of Sri Lanka.

Dr. Laura Nelson will step into her role with the garden later this spring, working with current president and CEO Susan Garot to ensure a smooth transition.

The arrests came a day after both the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka and Israel’s National Security Council warned their citizens to avoid Arugam Bay, a popular surf destination.

The Green Bay Botanical Garden and Green Bay Conservation Corps partnered to install the plants, which were put under the 100 trees to make a natural garden.
