A heavy police presence was seen Tuesday morning at the home of the Bogalusa mayor. Multiple law enforcement officers were seen at Tyrin Truong's home in Bogalusa early in the morning. BOGALUSA, La. ( WGNO) — Louisiana State Police announced the arrest of Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong. On Tuesday, Jan. 7, troopers said the 25-year-old along with six others were taken into custody following a comprehensive investigation into a Drug Trafficking Organization operating in Bogalusa.

Seven people — including Tyrin Truong, mayor of Bogalusa, Louisiana — are facing charges issued in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.

Bogalusa Mayor Tyrin Truong posted bail after he was arrested along with several others in connection with the investigation by Louisiana State Police last week.

The 25-year-old mayor of Bogalusa, Louisiana, on Tuesday was arrested and accused of involvement in a drug-trafficking operation and the soliciting of prostitution.
