If you missed your train at Grand Central Station, blame the cast of “Severance.” The show’s stars, Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Patricia Arquette, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman, shocked subway riders on Tuesday when they were put on display inside a glass cube with workstations that are identical to the setups that Lumon employees use in the series.
A cubicle set was placed inside a large glass box in the station, recreating a portion of the office from the series. Footage shared on social media by fans and director and executive producer Ben Stiller showed Scott cleaning the carpet and joining his fellow co-stars in pretending to work at their desks while ignoring the large crowd assembled around them.
The pop-up began when a large glass box appeared in Grand Central's Vanderbilt Hall, containing a replica of the four-seated desk from Lumon's Macrodata Refinement department. Hired actors playing Lumon employees sat at their desks, doing Lumon things (by which I mean, sorting numbers while not having a clue what said numbers mean).
