(WLUK) -- Wildlife officials say a snowy owl found dead in southern Wisconsin died from emaciation. On Feb. 5, a dead snowy owl was found in New Glarus with no apparent signs of the cause of death.

NEW GLARUS, Wis. -- A necropsy revealed an apparent cause of death for the New Glarus snowy owl. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said the snowy owl was found dead on Feb. 5 in New Glarus.
