Tennessee Athletic Director Danny White has announced that Josh Elander has been named the new head baseball coach for the University of Tennessee.

Tennessee baseball will hold its annual Orange & White Fall World Series game on Nov. 9 at Covenant Health Park. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. EST and gates will open at 3:30 p.m. EST. The Orange & White Fall World Series game was scheduled for 1 p.m. EST.

The Tennessee Vols are expected to move quickly in their search for a new baseball coach. Tony Vitello, who was hired by Tennessee in 2017, resigned as the Vols' baseball coach this week to become the new manager of the San Francisco Giants.
