Perplexity’s new Comet web browser was built on a foundation of privacy. Learn about Comet’s other key features and availability.
Perplexity, the startup behind the AI “answer” engine, has just launched its own web browser. The browser, called Comet, incorporates Perplexity’s AI search tools and assistant in a way that CEO Aravind Srinivas says “transforms entire browsing sessions into single, seamless interactions.”
Perplexity is best known for its AI-powered search engine that gives users simple answers to questions and links out to the original source material on the web. After the company was accused of plagiarizing content from media outlets, it launched a revenue-sharing model with publishers last year.
OpenAI's browser is said to use AI to rethink how users browse the web, keeping some user interactions inside ChatGPT instead of linking out to websites.
Perplexity’s Max plan with unlimited Labs, early access to features like Comet, top AI models, and priority support for power users.
Wedbush said Perplexity is the "no brainer" deal to help launch Apple's ( NASDAQ: AAPL) AI strategy. The firm has an Outperform rating and $270 price target on Apple's stock.
