A winter weather advisory is in effect for Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan, Van Buren and Kalamazoo counties from 8 a.m. Friday through 4 a.m. Saturday, the forecast calling for 2 to 5 inches of new snow. Snow will start near sunrise and fall consistently throughout the day Friday.
Snow expected Thursday: Winter weather advisory in place through Friday
The winter weather advisory takes effect at 6 a.m. Thursday. Forecasters say 2-4 inches of snow could fall, with some sleet mixed in at the outset of the storm.
