BOSTON — After interim coach Joe Sacco hinted that Jeremy Swayman was dealing with something health-related when he didn’t return for the third period of the Bruins’ loss to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday, Boston called up a goalie from the AHL.

As if things couldn’t get more troublesome for the Bruins, the player who is chiefly responsible for the earning points in four of their last five games is on the shelf. Jeremy Swayman, whom B’s coach Joe Sacco pulled after two periods on Wednesday in New Jersey partly because he was “dealing with something minor”,

The Bruins have recalled one of their goalie prospects. The Boston Bruins have announced that goaltender Michael DiPietro has been recalled from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Providence Bruins.

The Boston Bruins have little time to dwell on negatives. A night after the Bruins' season of ups and downs continued with a 5-1 road loss to the New Jersey Devils, Boston returns to home ice for a Thursday night matchup against the Atlantic Division rival Ottawa Senators.
