Prosecutors in the Turkish capital Ankara have launched an investigation into the AI app Grok for sending responses to users that constitute a crime. On Tuesday in particular, Grok, on the social media platform X, began responding to many users' questions with profanity and insults.
The access ban marked the first AI content censorship in Turkey, stemming from offensive material targeting the Turkish president, religious values, and the country’s founder.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the X platform's artificial intelligence tool Grok on the grounds that it provided insulting responses to AKP President Tayyip Erdoğan.
