Drew Brees delivered a speech Friday night when his old high school jersey was retired. It's another step on the way to the Pro Football Hall of Fame:
Drew Brees says he supports Alvin Kamara's retirement threat over a potential Saints trade, calling the running back's loyalty to New Orleans rare in today's NFL.
Brees was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Purdue. He spent his first five years in the NFL with the Chargers and the final 15 seasons with the New Orleans Saints. The 46-year-old is now working in broadcasting after he retired in 2020. He is a weekly contributor on ESPN’s “First Take.”
