President Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video showing former President Barack Obama's arrest on his social media platform on Sunday.Newsweek has contacted the White House for comment via an email sent outside regular business hours and Obama's office via a contact form on its website.

In the controversial video, digital renderings of Trump and Obama sit together in the Oval Office. As faux FBI officers suddenly come into view, the twice-impeached chief of state smiles unnaturally while the Democratic politician is handcuffed and carried out of frame.

It then shows an AI-edited video of Obama being put into handcuffs by two men wearing FBI gear. At the end, Obama appears in an orange jumpsuit behind bars, as Trump’s signature campaign song, “YMCA,” plays in the background.
