They don’t look as good on an LCD screen (desktop software does look better though ... Yeah this was only really a problem on the very old CRTs. Like pre-1950s.

Personally, I think they stopped making them because they were tired of arguments over what 'dot pitch' and 'native resolution' really mean. ;-) The above thread is due to pent-up leftover ...
