Nebraska native Dani Busboom Kelly, the Louisville coach of the past eight years, will replace Cook. Busboom Kelly, 39, is a former player and assistant coach under Cook for the Huskers.

John Cook retired Wednesday after 25 seasons at Nebraska, where he won four national titles. And with that, the Dani Busboom Kelly era began in Lincoln.
