The Bruins recalled forward Vinni Lettieri from AHL Providence on Monday, according to the AHL’s transactions log. Lettieri, 29, will take Marc McLaughlin’s place on the active roster.

Vinni Lettieri’s strong play in Providence was rewarded with a call up to the Bruins. The veteran forward was summoned from the AHL by Boston on Monday and practiced at Warrior Ice Arena.

Instead, it was 29-year-old Vinni Lettieri who got the call and joined the team at Warrior Ice Arena for Monday’s practice. Interim head coach Joe Sacco explained why that was the move.
