ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - As football season winds down, now is a good time to reflect on the sports center that once stood in the center of the Star City, Victory Stadium.

Having lived in Roanoke since 1968, I also have memories of Victory Stadium. I saw the title game that Salem lost to the Titans with Eddie Joyce as coach and his son as quarterback.
