VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Five people and a dog have been displaced after a fire early Saturday morning, the Virginia Beach Fire Department said. Crews responded to an apartment fire in the 4400 block of Deacons Lane around 2:13 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the apartment.

HAMPTON, Va. — Thirteen people were displaced by a fire Friday morning, Hampton Fire Rescue said. Crews responded to an apartment fire in the 1500 block of Briarfield Road, not far from Briarfield Park, at 7:05 a.m. When they arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the roof.

There were no injuries reported after the fire, which happened around at 7 a.m. at the Carson Square apartments.
