Overall enrollment at the University of Kentucky is over 36,000 for the first time, up nearly 7% from last school year and more than 6,500 first-year students are enrolled at UK this fall.

The University of Kentucky will no longer host graduation ceremonies that recognize specific student groups, such as LGBTQ+, Black, and first-generation students.

UofL said the Lavender Graduation ceremony was canceled in response to new federal and state polices over diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

The University of Kentucky spring commencement ceremonies are set for May 3 and 4 at Rupp Arena, and 122 student-athletes are expected to graduate.
