The other type of valve – Presta – is bike-specific and skinnier. Presta valves are meant to hold higher pressures and seal more tightly than a Schrader valve.

IMO there should only be two valve types: 1) Schrader. 2) ... I’ve used this type of valves on my bicycle wheels for 30+ years, and I never found the things he’s complaining about a big issue.
