The deadly Palisades Fire in Los Angeles County started after a fire that began days earlier was re-ignited by a Santa Ana windstorm.
According to regional councilor Massimo Sertori, the 21 nuns residing at the monastery were evacuated safely. Nineteen of the nuns were relocated to the Little Apostles in Ponte Lambro, while two were in a shelter near Erba, Sertori said.
Crews responded to a fire at a Kayem Foods factory in Chelsea Monday night. The blaze broke out around 8:15 p.m. Several firetrucks responded to the scene to battle the blaze, and it's unclear if anyone was injured.
