Squid Game season 2 has finally arrived after three years, the follow-up to the most-watched Netflix series of all time which has become a full-on brand for the service.

When Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae, The Acolyte) returns to the games in Season 2, he experiences the post-Red Light, Green Light vote again. Only this time, things are different. Now, players get the choice to end the games between every challenge. If they do choose to leave, they get to split the current prize pot, which goes up with every death.

The popular Netflix series returns with a few familiar faces and some new characters, but leaves audiences hanging at the finale.

After beginning where the last season left off, a year after the games ended, Season 2 then jumps two years into the future and follows Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), aka Player 456

Squid Game  is full of players wearing banal teal-green tracksuits, generally speckled with blood and dirt, as they are forced to play children’s games to the death in a drive to pay off their debts

For those who need a refresher, the first season of Squid Game showed the full six games (not including the recruiting game) that Gi-hun had to participate in to win the entire prize pool of money, but Season 2 only featured three throughout its seven episodes.
