The Afeela 1 can also charge at 11 kw using a Level 2 AC charger. Sony's interest in building an electric car goes back to the Vision S concept presented at CES 2020.

The Afeela 1 Origin is the base trim. The base Origin trim will be available later in 2027. It will have a range of up to 300 miles, 19-inch alloy wheels, and is expected to start at $89,900.
