Qualcomm just launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for smartphones today, but the second-generation Oryon CPU core within could hint at a possible new Snapdragon X Elite chip.

So don’t expect a phone with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip to be able to do everything a device with a Snapdragon X chip can… or at least not as quickly or as well.
