The president waved a copy of a draft letter firing Jerome H. Powell at a meeting in the Oval Office with House Republicans. It remains to be seen whether he follows through with his threat.

President Donald Trump said it was "highly unlikely" he would fire Jerome Powell as chair of the Federal Reserve. His statements, made in the Oval Office, come less than 24 hours after telling a room full of Republican lawmakers that he was considering doing so.

However, after using this office chair for a week, I can totally see why President George W. Bush decided to get one for those times when he wasn’t working in the Oval Office.
