On opening night, Old Hickory’s bar was filled to the brim with Christmas classic movies playing in the background and cocktails flowing, served in decorative glasses and specialty garnishes.

The bar even has a collection of old cocktail books, including a reprint of the 1927 “Barflies and Cocktails: 300 Recipes,” by Harry McElhone of Harry’s New York Bar in Paris.

Pazuniak created the 100-Year-Old Cigar while working at the now-shuttered Counting Room in Brooklyn, and carried it on to his work at Jupiter Disco, a cocktail bar in Brooklyn.
