Nebraska football's fan day will take place on August 24. The time for volleyball's fan day, scheduled on the same day, has also been adjusted to avoid overlap.

One Husker fan has spent three years designing and commissioning a shield he wants Nebraska to use as a turnover prop. Another brought his guitar for Dylan Raiola to sign.

The wait is nearly over for Nebraska football fans. The season opener against UTEP is on Aug. 31, and on Saturday, fans got to meet the team.
