NPTF fittings ARE safe for use in high-pressure applications. If you don’t know for certain if a fitting is NPT or NPTF, DON’T USE IT IN A HIGH-PRESSURE HYDRAULIC APPLICATION.

The inlet and outlet ports are 1/2″ NPT. Thread into those two ports 1/2″ NPT to 3/8″ hose-barb adapter fittings. Use teflon tape or pipe dope on all of the threaded fittings in this project.
