Three Milwaukee police officers have been shot in the last two weeks, and four in the past five months, raising concerns about officer safety as the department faces a significant staffing shortage.
Brunson promoted Inspectors Terrence Gordon and Leslie Thiele, along with Capt. Jeffrey Norman, to assistant chief. They each bring around 25 years of experience within the department.
The shooting happened in Milwaukee Police District 3. The two injured officers are headquartered in District 2.
