The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deleted a bizarre X post expressing condolences for Iran after the U.S. attacked several of its key nuclear sites.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials on Sunday said there were no known threats locally in response to the U.S. military attacking nuclear sites in Iran — but the department’s message was later withdrawn over “offensive and inappropriate” language, the agency said.

The department called its social media post “offensive and inappropriate” and said it was investigating how it had been published.
