A young mountain lion injured by a vehicle has been released back into the wild after nearly five months of rehabilitation at the San Diego Humane Society's Ramona Wildlife Center, officials said Sunday.

The mountain lion, estimated to be about 10 months old, was hit by a car back in January and had been recovering at the center since.

A young mountain lion that was injured after being hit by a vehicle was released back to the wild by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife on June 17.
