One of the people who hate it is none other than NBA All-Star Kevin Durant. He was asked about the new format and said “ I absolutely hate it .” “All-Star Game format changing, all the formats — terrible in my opinion. We should just go back to East-West. Just play a game,” Durant told reporters.

While James' teammate, nine-time All-Star Anthony Davis said, "I don't really like it," when asked about the format change, James sounded more open to it. "Something had to change," James said, alluding to last year's game that featured 397 combined, meaningless points by the two teams.
