Killeen ISD announced Tuesday the addition of four new mascots to accompany the four newest elementary schools which are slated to open this August.

Following the support of the community, Killeen High School’s longstanding mascot, Kanga the Roo was selected for the 2023 Community Impact Award from the Mascot Hall of Fame.

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - A student on April 16 attempted to bring a knife into Killeen High School, Principal Dr. Kara Treviño acknowledged in a letter to parents obtained by KWTX.
