SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Due to increasing incidents of vehicle theft, Kia and Hyundai have provided steering wheel locks that are now available from the Springfield Police Department (SPD).

Kia or Hyundai owners can bring their car registration to the front desk of the Public Safety Building, 511 S. State St., and get one free steering wheel lock, police said.
