After three days of trying, workers from Springfield’s Parkland Environmental Group demolished Ridgely Tower Monday morning. Ridgely was one of the last manned railroad control towers in Illinois.

New exhibits Race Street Tower and The Whistle Stop opened at the Reading Railroad Heritage Museum in Hamburg.
