With a plethora of newcomers – both freshmen and from the transfer portal – head coach Brad Underwood has replaced the high-profile freshmen with experienced players.

Cal transfer Andrej Stojakovic has signed with the Fighting Illini, putting the former McDonald's All-American on the roster with two years of eligibility. The 6-foot-7 forward, who is the son of former NBA all-star Peja Stojakovic, averaged 17.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.8 steals last season.
