Georges Niang, who is the player reportedly acquired by the Celtics in exchange for Kristaps Porzinigis, is from Methuen Massachusetts and played his entire high school career at Tilton School.

Who is Georges Niang Niang is a 32-year-old small forward from Lawrence, Massachusetts. During the 2024 – 2025 regular season, Niang shot 9.9 points per game, 1.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds.

Niang, 32, could be a dependable piece off the bench for Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla in 2025-26.

This will be Niang's sixth NBA team since being drafted in 2016. Niang averaged 9.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists and shot 46.1 % from the field last year for the Hawks.
