That was the end of the competitive portion of this game, as the Cowboys' offense proved too much to overcome for Washington's lackluster defense, and the Commanders had no answer for being without their top three receivers. Additionally, quarterback Jayden Daniels left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return.

Cowboys lost to the Broncos, 44-24, in Week 8 due to poor defense. Head coach Schottenheimer said they will take action after the loss. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has also said he's open to trades as the deadline approaches.
