Lagway made his camp debut back on Aug. 2, throwing passes while wearing a sleeve on his left leg. He progressed over the ensuing weeks and is now in line to enter the year at full speed. The final stretch of camp marked the first time this offseason that the star sophomore suited up in a full capacity for official practices after missing the spring with a separate shoulder issue.

Vaunted prospect Bryce Underwood has been named Michigan's starting quarterback ahead of the Wolverines' Aug. 30 season opener against New Mexico, coach Sherrone Moore announced.

Bryce Underwood has been named the starting quarterback for No. 14 Michigan. Coach Sherrone Moore made the long-expected announcement on Monday at his weekly news conference. Underwood was the nation's top-ranked recruit last year and his father told The Wall Street Journal that the freshman is expected to make more than $15 million over the next three seasons.
