Arizona native Auston Matthews is among the first six players announced to represent Team USA at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Matthews will be the fourth Arizona native to represent Team USA in hockey, joining Matthew Knies in 2022, Broc Little in 2018 and Lyndsey Fry in 2014.

Winter Olympics in Italy less than a year away, the 12 national men's hockey teams participating are in the process of revealing the initial six players who will be on their respective rosters. Those teams will announce the remainder of their rosters at a later date closer to the Winter Games,
