He is one of a couple of promising young players the team currently has who could form a rock-solid core with Luka Doncic for years to come. In an interview with Lakers Nation, he said one of those other young players — Dalton Knecht — will have a breakout campaign next season.

Reaves will be eligible to earn a massive extension after this season that will likely pay him upwards of $30 million per year. Currently, the Lakers guard is on one of the more team-friendly deals across the NBA, as he is scheduled to make $13.9 million this coming season.
