The North Carolina Tar Heels will be without star guard Cole Anthony between 4 and 6 weeks as he recovers from an arthroscopic procedure on his knee, the team announced Tuesday.

North Carolina Tar Heels freshman Cole Anthony set a school record with most points by a freshman after a 34-point performance against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday.

When healthy, Anthony's been one of the most impactful freshmen in America, averaging 19.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in nine games. UNC went 6-3 in those games. Without him, UNC is 4-7.

Ultimately, however, familiar issues plagued North Carolina (10-11, 3-7 ACC). The Tar Heels made only 4-of-19 3-pointers in keeping with a season-long trend of poor outside shooting.
