The U.S. will share closely held technology to allow South Korea to build a nuclear-powered submarine, President Donald Trump said ahead of a meeting with China’s leader Xi Jinping.

President Trump said the U.S. and China reached deals on several items, including a short-term agreement on rare-earth minerals, and soybean sales to China.

After completing the final leg of his diplomatic Asia tour, Donald Trump returned to Washington. Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping exchanged pleasantries during their hour-and-40-minute-long meetup in South Korea,

"We're going to have a vey successful meeting, I have no doubt," President Trump said while shaking hands with China's Xi Jinping. "But he's a very tough negotiator. That's not good."
