It's been nearly two years since Russell Wilson last suited up for the Denver Broncos, but there is apparently no love lost between him and former head coach Sean Payton.

Russell Wilson appears to have clapped back at Sean Payton. After the Broncos coach seemed to throw shade at the Giants' backup quarterback following Denver's comeback win over New York on Sunday, Wilson has now taken it upon himself to respond.

In a post on his official X page, Russell Wilson slammed Sean Payton as a "classless" coach and implied Payton is "bounty hunting" through the media.

Russell Wilson didn’t throw a pass when the Giants visited Denver on Sunday, but the veteran quarterback and his old coach managed to exchange shots all the same.

Payton and Wilson's relationship strained over their season together and eventually Payton benched Wilson for the final two games of the 2023 season. Wilson openly claimed the Broncos threatened to bench him as early as the team's bye week that year if he didn't agree to move a guarantee date in his contract.
