Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester impressed everyone on Saturday. That includes Brewers manager Pat Murphy, which is a notable achievement given how Murphy initially evaluated Priester when Milwaukee acquired the 24-year-old from the Boston Red Sox on April 7.

The Red Sox had only gotten Priester when the Pirates gave up on him after a promising minor league career slowed down a tad. But then Boston didn't wait it out with Priester, either. Now, he's turning into a consistently strong performer for the Brewers. Still just 24, Priester has a 3.35 ERA this season.

The Brewers have found a gem in Quinn Priester. After a rough start against the Twins last Sunday, he bounced back for his best start as a Brewer. He pitched seven shutout innings and struck out 11 as the Brewers won 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.
