The WNBA celebrated the return of the Portland Fire with the unveiling of the brand-new team gear at their Tuesday Launch Party. Fans had the chance to buy team merch for the first time, featuring a collection of different colors and the logo.

The logo isn't perfect and the name has issues, but the support for Portland's WNBA franchise was overwhelming on the day the Fire officially launched.

The first-ever global women’s sports Epicenter Week is happening only in Portland and kicks off on July 23. It comes on the heels of the huge party Tuesday night at the Moda Center for the unveiling of the Portland Fire’s logo and name. Epicenter week starts next Wednesday with Portland Thorns Community Day.

The WNBA awarded Portland a franchise in September, and it will begin its inaugural season in 2026 amid a wave of league expansion.
